How much does brewery temperature monitoring cost?

Costs depend on how many devices you monitor or control and what hardware your cellar needs. FermaStat uses transparent device-based pricing.

Software and platform costs

FermaStat charges a $100/month platform fee per brewery. That includes the cloud dashboard, alerts, unlimited users, and logging—not per-seat licensing.

Per-device costs

  • Monitored devices: $10/month each (read-only telemetry and alerts)
  • Controlled devices: $20/month each (setpoints and active control where configured)

If a device is both monitored and controlled, it is billed at the controlled rate only.

Hardware costs

  • Monitor/controller unit: $300 (one-time)
  • Relay: $400 (one-time)
  • Relay + touchscreen monitor: $1,200 (one-time)

Installation is quoted per site based on travel distance and cellar conditions.

Monitoring vs. control

Monitoring-only setups cost less monthly and are a common starting point. Control adds hardware complexity and higher per-device fees but can reduce manual intervention on priority tanks where your setup supports it.

Example setups

  • Small cellar monitoring: Platform + 4 monitored devices = $140/month, plus hardware
  • Growing brewery: Platform + 8 monitored + 2 controlled = $220/month, plus hardware
  • Control-focused: Platform + 6 controlled = $220/month, plus hardware

Estimate your setup

Use the pricing calculator on our pricing page to estimate monthly software and one-time hardware costs for your device counts. Final configuration depends on your brewery equipment and installation requirements.
